A prominent socio-cultural group in Kogi State has officially endorsed Hon. Umar Yahaya (Connect) for the House of Representatives seat representing Ankpa/Omala/Olamaboro Federal Constituency.
The Udama Kpai Unyogba Amoma Igala Development Association, Nationwide, Omala Chapter, made its position known in a statement issued on Wednesday, citing the lawmaker’s track record and leadership credentials as key reasons for the support.
The association said the decision followed a careful evaluation of Hon. Yahaya’s performance during his tenure as the representative of Omala State Constituency in the Kogi State House of Assembly.
“Our assessment shows that Hon. Yahaya has consistently demonstrated commitment to the development of his constituency. His responsive representation and dedication to progress have exceeded expectations,” the statement read.
The group noted that Hon. Yahaya’s experience in the state legislature equips him to serve effectively at the national level. It urged him to contest for the House of Representatives to broaden the scope of his service to the people.
“We urge Hon. Umar Yahaya Connect to ascend to the Green Chamber at the National Assembly to continue representing the people of Ankpa, Olamaboro, and Omala Federal Constituency,” the statement added.
The Udama Kpai Unyogba Amoma Igala Development Association, Omala Chapter, further pledged to mobilise its members to actively support the lawmaker’s political ambition.
