The Nigerian Army has announced the commencement of applications for the Direct Short Service Commission Course 29/2026, inviting eligible Nigerians to apply for commission as officers.
According to a statement by the Army, the Direct Short Service Commission is open to both civilians and serving military personnel who meet the required criteria.
The commission is available in key corps, including the Nigerian Army Engineers, Nigerian Army Signals, Nigerian Army Medical Corps, Nigerian Army Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, as well as the Nigerian Army Education Corps.
The Army stressed that the application process is free and will be conducted strictly online. It added that the portal would be open from January 7 to February 4, 2026.
Prospective applicants seeking further information were advised to contact the Army through 08179269294 or 08109959294 between 8am and 6pm daily, or visit the official recruitment website at recruitment.army.mil.ng.
The Army cautioned applicants to beware of fraudsters, reiterating that no payment is required at any stage of the recruitment process.
