The Kogi Mandate Group (KMG) has expressed sorrow over the death of Hon. James Ignatius Onoja, a former chairman of Igalamela Odolu Local Government Area and a Special Adviser to the Kogi State Governor.
In a statement on Sunday, the Director General of the group, Mr Gbemi Adejola, said the death of Hon. Onoja came as a rude shock, describing the loss as painful and personal.
“This loss is very personal to me, and I commiserate with his immediate family at this difficult time,” Adejola said.
The group described the late politician as a humble and hardworking individual who was dedicated to service and community development, adding that his contributions to the group and to Kogi State would be greatly missed.
Until his death, Hon. Onoja served as the Kogi East District Coordinator of the Kogi Mandate Group.
The group prayed that God grants his soul eternal rest and gives his family, friends and associates the fortitude to bear the loss.
