The Youth Leader of the All Igala Progressive Youth Forum in Lokoja, Hon. Usman Isiaka, has called on the youths across Lokoja, Ajaokuta, Okene and Adavi Local Government Areas of Kogi State to mobilise and support the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections.
Hon. Isiaka made the call in a statement issued in Lokoja at the weekend, urging youths in the state to unite and work collectively to strengthen the ruling party ahead of the next electoral cycle.
According to him, the time has come for progressive-minded youths in Kogi State to demonstrate loyalty and commitment to the ideals of the APC by supporting its leadership at both the national and state levels.
He said the forum remains firmly behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, expressing confidence that a second term would enable the administration to consolidate on ongoing reforms and development initiatives across the country.
The youth leader also reaffirmed the group’s support for Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, noting that the governor’s performance in office had earned him the confidence of young people in the state.
“We call on all progressive youths in Lokoja, Ajaokuta, Okene and Adavi to come together in unity and rise in support of the APC as we prepare for the 2027 general elections,” Isiaka said.
“This is the time for unity, loyalty and progress. As youths, we must stand firmly behind our leaders to ensure the continuity of development in Kogi State and Nigeria at large.”
He further declared the forum’s support for the immediate past governor of the state, Yahaya Adoza Bello, popularly known as FGYB, whom he described as a key political figure whose leadership continues to inspire many young people in the state.
Isiaka noted that the group would work with party stakeholders and grassroots supporters to mobilise voters and strengthen the APC’s structures across the affected local government areas.
He expressed optimism that with unity among party faithful and the active participation of youths, the APC would record another victory in the forthcoming elections.
“Together, we will continue to move Kogi State and Nigeria forward through progress, unity and sustainable development,” he added.
